Care and maintenance of Aggranite Quartz Engineered Stone
1 AGGRANITE QUARTZ ENGINEERED STONE is virtually maintenance free and can be cleaned with extreme ease.
2 Common household spills – such as, tea, coffee, lemon juice, red wine, soda, fruit juice, vegetable juice, olive oil, or grease spills – are easily removed and the surface can be restored to its original appearance.
3 Quartz is one of the hardest materials in nature, which is an assurance that your AGGRANITE QUARTZ ENGINEERED STONE surface will not easily scratch or chip. The use of a cutting board is nevertheless recommended.
4 To maintain the natural beauty of AGGRANITE QUARTZ ENGINEERED STONE do not place hot skillets or roasting pans directly onto the surface but use a trivet instead.
5 For routine cleaning, use a damp cloth or paper towel and, if necessary, a small amount of mild soap. Once clean, rinse and dry the surface thoroughly.
6 For stubborn or dried spills, use a nonabrasive cleaning pad such as a white 3M Scotch-Brite® scrub pad combined with a small amount of mild soap or specialized stone cleaner.
7 AGGRANITE QUARTZ ENGINEERED STONE floors in high traffic areas should be cleaned daily with a clean, dry dust mop or soft bristle broom. AGGRANITE QUARTZ ENGINEERED STONE floors in low traffic areas can be cleaned less frequently using the same method. Spills should be spot treated with the use of a damp mop or cloth towel and, if necessary, a small amount of mild soap or specialized stone cleaner.
8 A floor machine such as a slow speed buffer or walk behind scrubber can be used for larger commercial environments. Be sure to rinse thoroughly to remove any haze residue that may diminish the shine and beauty of the floor.
9 Avoid exposing AGGRANITE QUARTZ ENGINEERED STONE to chemicals and solvents; especially paint removers or furniture strippers containing trichloroethane or methylene chloride. Keep away nail polish remover, bleach or cleansers that contain bleach, bluing, permanent markers or inks. While casual exposure to alkaline materials will not damage AGGRANITE QUARTZ ENGINEERED STONE, highly alkaline (high-pH) cleansers are not recommended when cleaning AGGRANITE QUARTZ ENGINEERED STONE. If any of the substances listed above come into contact with AGGRANITE QUARTZ ENGINEERED STONE, rinse the exposed surface immediately and thoroughly with plenty of clean water.
10 Do not use strong abrasive and/or alkaline cleaning products. Always follow the manufacturers’ dilution instructions and recommendations
Storage and handling of Aggranite Quartz Engineered Stone Slabs
While storing and handling AGGRANITE QUARTZ ENGINEERED STONE please ensure that the following are fully complied with:
1 Slabs should be stored vertically on a 150 angle with support at the top and bottom of the steel “A” frame.
2 Slabs must always be stored in a way that the polished surface is not exposed to the sun. It is necessary to store the slabs in a shaded area, and it is necessary to keep the last slab in each rack in a position in which the backside is facing out.
3 There should be no more than 20 slabs to each rack with the slabs face-to-face and back-to- back. Make sure the face is always protected and not touching the metal or the back of another slab, etc. Polished edges should be covered using blankets, carpet or any other type of quality padding for protection.
4 Storage temperatures should not exceed 129°F. Tarpaulins can be used to cover slabs stored under direct sunlight.
5 All racking should have a protective layer between the rack and the slabs. This will help to prevent scratching or other surface damage during storage or transit.
While transporting AGGRANITE QUARTZ ENGINEERED STONE slabs please ensure that the following are fully complied with:
1 Do not transport slabs horizontally and use proper “A” frames. The horizontal storage can put stress on the material and cause the material to break.
2 When suction cups or grips are being used, slab should be held low to the ground. Cut-out pieces should be braced to avoid flexing and should be placed at the top of the A-Frame to prevent bearing the load. Similarly, laminated edges should be top loaded to avoid bearing the load.
3 Slabs should be strapped onto A-Frames to prevent flexing. Care should be taken to protect the straps from being damaged or cut by the edge of the slab.
4 Carts and dollies should be used when transporting slabs around the shop.
5 Preferred unloading route is using a forklift or other lifting device capable of handling the appropriate capacity without any body part being between it and the ground.
6 Gloves, Safety Shoes, and eye protection should be worn while handling AGGRANITE QUARTZ ENGINEERED STONE.

CE
CE stands for Conformite Europeenne, the French phrase for European Conformity. It is a standard that applies to a wide range of objects created and sold in the nation belonging to the European Union. CE certification is designed to protect EU consumers by regulating products to reduce possible dangers to people and the environment.
GREENGUARD
The GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certification Program identifies low-emitting materials, finishes and products for indoor environments. Performance-based, field-validated standards are used to define products and materials with low chemical and particle emissions for indoor use. Products are required to be tested annually for more than 10,000 individual volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
GREENGUARD Children & Schools
The GREENGUARD Children & Schools Certification Program was developed by evaluating chemical sensitivities of children along with unique building characteristics of schools. It presents the most stringent product emissions criteria to date for low-emitting materials.
